now i believe that people will not appreciate sth until that something has been taken away. when daddy was a ADUN, we didn't really attach much significant to it. i have to clarify that it was not that we did not support him, it was just that we figured our family life and daddy's health would somehow be better of without politics. Daddy was really really really busy back then, trying to balance his time between politics, business and family, straining as much as possible to address his people's needs, fight for the building of chinese schools in Penang, squeeze every free moments his had so that we can have a meal together -- honestly, except the tiny little more fame that we have, having a politician dad was really nothing fun. But yet, i still feel the lost. i figure after all those time, like it or not, daddy's involvement in politics has become apart of our life, and losing it just does not feel right. After all those efforts, after all those challenges, after all those years, all is left of you was the people telling you "I never thought of you are going to lose." "you know, it was the political leaders that we don't like, we like you" "nevermind, try again 5 years later." bugger... the more i think about it, the more i hate democracy. u_u.
sis made this slide show and it shows parts and bits of dad's journey as a politician. He was a good one cause he did his job with passion. 现在我只觉得很可惜,因为爸爸失去了为华社谋利的机会,人民也失去了一位诚心诚意服务人民的代议士。说这些话,我问心无愧
may it be the next election, may it be a decade, may it be a century, i will support daddy and his party because i see things that people don't see, i know things that people don't know, and i know how to appreciate and be grateful. SATU HATI!!! i am feeling better now. *hugs daddy and all the fighters*
