SEM 4 Week 1

I have been trying to avoid posting any academic related posts on my blog because i simply want to be (or pretent to be) less nerdy :P but come to think of it, that doesn't quite get along with the title of my blog "starting out my journey as a doctor to be". relentless whining and ranting might not be the sweetest thing to blog about and at times i have to say that it is indeed very annoying, but i would love to, in the future, look back, read my blog and see what my life was like and what kind of person i was back then. so yea, i shouldn't just posted about happy-vacation-celebration-fun part of my life. in fact, those exciting, boring, challeging, scary, despair, confused, mugging moments of a medical student shall be fully incorporated (provided that i have time to do so). No, not all medical students are that busy, just those who are not smart enough need to spend 90% of their waking hours studying =p.

so what had happened in the first week of Semester 4? being able to meet up with all the meddy is just awesome. and i am in the same anatomy practical session with all my girlfriends! that feels good =D and we are doing neuroscience for the first 6 weeks and hell it is a little bit overwhelming. so many new words so many new things. i still unsure about what that subject requires but there is one thing for sure, i understand the anatomy much more better than things that happen at the microscopic level. Health Practice is about psychology this semester and i personally think that it's going to be INTERESTING! although i still prefer doing stats because numbers and calculations are my better friend than words and languages. ICM, we only have one field visit this semester and others are on campus tutorial. it seems like there are a lot of physical examinations that we need to learn this sem (including breast examination) and i am praying hard that there are nice people in my tutorial group :) PBL -- as usual, it's a very stressful 4hrs (sometimes 6hrs) a week tutorial for me. speak up in class is just simply not my thing. honestly, i dun mind writing on the board/ be the scribe/ bring food for every single PBL tutorial as long as i am spared from talking! anyone willing to offer me that deal???? but overall, school is still good.

"Don't Complain. Work Hard." Randy Pausch had passed away on Friday morning. Rest in peace.

P.S. I dreamt that i went home again and it was a very short stay. then i was busy packing up because i was coming back to melbourne on that very same night. everything was in great details and the feelings were so surreal. then those emotions started to fade and i woke up. thank god. that saved me a whole lot of farewell tears. but i have to say that that was a weird dream :)
