Sometimes, people just want to be remembered
The Krebs Cycle by Hans Adolf Krebs

Oh well, he definitely deserved the name, it's a big break through and he won a noble prize for this.
*
The Cori Cycle

less impressive but still a massive contribution to the development of biochem (and less disastrous to memeorize for exam)
*
and then we have people who named certain diseases after themselves. for instance,
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy-- poshy glamarous name but nasty nasty disorder.
Addison's Disease - not too bad for a disease, it's treatable
not the way you'd want someone to remember you but still, it's better than being forgotten.
*
and then there are those very few who named body parts after themselves. People such as Houston and Douglas. Not just any part of the body but
Rectus Shelves of Douglas
and
Rectouterine Pouch of Douglas
NOW, that's not very impressive, is it?
come to think of it, if i manage to find something to CURE prostate cancer, do i call it prostate GOH?
