SWOT VAC XII

hey people! i have been away for a while~ and i know u miss me. no?
*
just came back from OSCE and i think it went okay.

so now what i have to do is to wait until Monday and hope that I will NOT receive any email from Dr. Ruth Sunderland. *finger crossed* oh and you wonder who she is, she is our Introduction to Clinical Medicine (ICM) 5 coordinator, a very nice lady, but also the one in charge of writing you a very emotional and caring email informing someone they have unfortunately fail their OSCE.

AND our OSCE passing mark is 75%. yesh, a freaking H2A.
*
back to OSCE, i know i shouldn't say this but i can't help.

my patient's legs are very very VERY hairy o.O
he won be reading my blog right?

i am NOT kidding. and i was asked to perform an examination on the knee =.= and i literally can HEAR the friction when i milk the knee joint for any effusion. it's that hairy and i am not exaggerating. i am not. u have to take my word for that. and dun get me wrong, i am definitely not against hair, i am no where close. it's just that i have not encountered many hairy people, let alone touching/ feeling one. i know i do sound like a pervert but to all those non med people out there, physical contact is necessary for physical examination. thank-you-very-much.
*
both my examiners are really nice and student friendly too. but the one at the physical examination station is more adventurous and hilarious. after i completed my examination and answered the clinically relevant questions (they were anatomy questions thank god!), he asked me
"So is you dad a cardiologist?"
"No" *after a 1.17865 second silence*
"XX Goh. He is not your dad?"
"Oh no. There are quite a lot of Goh people out there i guess" *i was trying so hard not to sound stupid. i really din know what to make of it.*
"Alright i see"
"My dad is in Malaysia. And he is not a doctor." *giving him my typical big big broad smile which in sis opinion, makes me look pretty retarded*
and then the second bell rings. meaning time's up and we have to get out from the room. *phew*
so i quickly politely thank the examiner and the simulated patient before i left. hurrily.
lol. it was hilarious. and it made me happy :D
*
and and and sis cooked me lunch today! it was unexpected. thanks sis! and if you wonder how did it taste like. IT'S GOOD!
*
and one last thing, i received an email from my other co-supervisor saying that it's okay for me to go back on Tuesday rather than staying back for a meeting and i quote "I suggest you have a nice break. We will have plenty of time finishing the project next semester." YESH! i dun have to change my flight ticket! i can go home next tuesday night! i dun have to go through all the hassle to SIA office and pay them a huge sum of money to get a ticket with a different date! and i have one less thing to worry about. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
*
and just a glance of some yummylicious food we had for the past few days.
(because i like showing off)
a bit of ginger makes this taste like home :)
*
and and and
this KILLER PINEAPPLE CAKE!
i am NOT kidding.
it literally kills

you wouldn't want to know the amount of butter and sugar i put in the cake

but then i have to say this.
IT'S THE BEST CAKE I'VE EVER BAKED TO DATE

and that just makes everything worth it doesn't it.
including premature death.
*
okay, i need to mug for my tomorrow moning 9.15 a.m. paper.
wish me luck people. i NEED it.
*

xoxo
