Happy 22nd Wedding Anniversary

almost 22 years ago, a 24 year old guy, freshly graduated from college, purposed to a young lady who he has been dating since high school.

and exactly 22 years ago, the young couple got married.

it was a pretty simple wedding, families and friends, there was no extravagant ballroom wedding, there was no 9 layers wedding cake, there was no cooktail reception. but there was this young couple, deeply in love

and of course, this is NOT their wedding ring

the rings look more like this

gold, tiny, thin and no diamond no stones whatsoever
just plain normal golden rings
(i think these day it's kinda hard for you to get a wife with these lousy rings)

both my parents were not born into wealthy families, in fact, my paternal grandfather was a farmer and my maternal grandfather is a vegetable vendor (and no my grandpa didn't sell his vege to my other grandpa). so in short, they were poor people.

but very bravely, they started a new family
it was hard, in fact, my parents struggled, but they were happy, we were happy

(okay la, i can't find a pic with 3 kids so i have to make do with one kid. that's my brother when he was still young and tiny)

of course just like any marriage, they quarreled

and they won't talk each other for a day or 2

and sis and me have to be the messagers =.=

"tell your dad ................"

"i don't know, you talk to mummy ........"

but at times, in fact most of the time, they are so nice to each other.

loving and patience and nice

how sweet?!?!

my parents have been through a lot of things to gather. they built this family, they built their business, a little success in politics and i dare to say neither of them would have achieved what they have achieved today without each other.
