Chinese New Year

Being born and raised in a fairly traditional chinese family, chinese new year IS a BIG DEAL. baking traditional new year cookies, visiting elderly relatives with chinese oranges and hampers, cleaning and praying all those gods and goddessess thanking them for a safe and healthy year, stocked up with all kinds of drinks and nuts and candies in preparation for visitors eventhough people don't usually eat because everyone has had so much of them most people are sicked of them by CNY.... you name it! and since CNY is such a huge huge event, me and my sister decided to transform our garden which we barely look at day in day out from the house for the past 3 years :p into something that looks like THIS:-

our registered signature pillar decoration =D

with our scarce resources due to the world economy crisis, only half of the pillars are decorated =P

even my doggie had it's own "ang cai" =D

this year our theme is - RIBBONS

nicey and easy

okay, i know this looks like napkin =.=

lastly, some typical new year accessories

so there you go! we definitely are very proud of ourselves *evil laugh*

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR PEOPLE!

have a great year ahead!
