another busy busy week
here i am again, i've survived another week *applause* this week was kinda tough because i had my second session of PBL on tuesday. this is how things work. we are given a case every two week and in the first week, we are to look at the trigger and information provided and then discuss the symptomes of the patient, come out with hypothesis regarding what mechanism might have gone wrong (yea, just like House -- differential diagnosis, but i dun have that kind of knowledge =="), list out whole lot of learning issues and do our own research. in the second week, we will have to discuss the case again and this time, we will have to present what we've found in front of the whole class, drawing diagram, explaining. you don't have to talk if you don't want to, we are talking about human rights here, but well, they can and definitely will fail you if you just keep your mouth shut, so i dun really have a choice, do i? so i will suffer for every alternative monday night n tuesday morning ;). apart from PBL, i had the UNICEF thingy in the afternoon -- giving out flyers for the flea market. GOSH, i am so not the kind of person for this job, i am stranger-phobia... but that was volunteery work, so 只好硬着头皮分纸去喽!i always take flyers when others are distributing them in the campus because i know this job ain't easy, it takes a lot of courage and passion (i am not praising myself because there is no way i am going to giving out flyers again, i will do ANYTHING else) maybe you might think that i am wasting the paper BUT before my first and very last experience of giving out flyers, i know that it sucks when people refuse to take your flyer. Just imagine someone wandering around a congested place holding a stack of papers for 15 min only manage to give out 2 flyers because everyone else pretended that they didn't see you or fiercely say no thanks. 我的小小心灵碎碎了。damn it. so people, next time, just take the flyer and have a look. the purpose of giving out flyers are just to raise awareness and publicity, it won hurt nor will it do any harm... so that was the end of tuesday. Wednesday was another big day, i had my interview presentation for my ICM, thank god it's over (specially thanks to michelle lee and sis for helping out with the interview). i was so nervous i can hadly slept properly the night before. siah sui nia. and i had my 3rd and last field visit of Sem 1 on wednesday too. my partner did not show up ao i went all the way to heidelbeg all by myself ^^ my last field visit was at Austin and Repatriatian Medical Centre, a public hospital. apparent they are two hospitals at two different places and i went to the wrong one. Luckily they provide shuttle bus service from austin hospital to the repatriatian medical centre, or else i would be so DIED ^^ i arrived there just on time *phew* this was the best field visit ever

heidelberg railway station -- 32 minutes ride from melbourne central
