of easter and april fools
it's easter friday. and i didn't know that today is good friday until yesterday night. i am culturally challeged that way :P
sis and i had Maccus breakfast this morning, we walked all the way to Mcdonald JUST for their egg and bacon muffins. only because we felt like it, and because this was our incentive to wake up in the morning, and because we were fast-food deprived when we were young. and i so enjoyed the walk. and the sun. and the precious sista bonding time :)
and also i didn't realize that it was april fools yesterday until pretty late at night. then i realized that the last time i made a joke on somebody on april fools was when i was 8. and i tricked my dad. i think i have grown up too fast, i have lost the child in me since i was pretty young. and i don't think that's a very good thing. the fact that i am a middle kid, having a brother with autistic, being transfered from a small primary school to a more reputatable one where the only mean of survival was to excel and to prove yourself worthy - i was only 9, and then going to a extremely academic orientated secondary school where again, marks and ranking mattered a lot, and also one's appearance for that matter (teenagers - what do u expect?), so the only way i could fight for my place, was to study hard, real hard and so i become really obsessed with my study. and i kind of liked it, because i was pretty good at doing that, and only that. then it was collegewhen i was 16, away from home and all that's familiar. sis and me were doing totally different subjects, so i was kind of on my own, and i coped, i coped with a lot of discipline, hours of mugging and no fooling around, and so that's how i become a really, shall i say, - serious person. i didn't regret it though. not a bit, but sometimes i couldn't help but wondering what could have been if i am a little more carefree and easy-going. but i guess i will never know, i am who i am. and i think i turn out to be a pretty decent person, so i am happy :) and i still dun think i will try to fool people next year. the process of ageing is irreversible you see.
on the contrary, i still match my ponytail with ribbons. do you think ribbons and bows are a little too much for a 21 year old? i think i am the only person in the hospital still doing that.
and i think i am going to bake later. we are having a picnic tomorrow! let's hope it doesn't rain.
HAPPY FRIDAY PEOPLE!
